We would recommend you book as soon as possible and no less than 2 weeks in advance. The earlier you book, the greater the chances of getting your preferred date and time. We would, of course, endeavour to accommodate any urgent requests, but it will be subject to availability. Please note that we cannot guarantee your booking until we have received your deposit payment.

Yes – we can create a gift voucher for you to give as a present. Please do this by contacting bookings@partypopstar.com or calling 01795 385 385. Our vouchers are valid for 12 months.

Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to a different date if notified more than 21 days of the party date by e-mail. Once the final balance is paid, the amount is non-refundable.

Our Big Jam Studio staff are highly skilled at involving all ages in their activities. They have all been trained and have been checked through the DBS for suitability to work with young children. All our staff will be extremely knowledgeable about the activities taking place. Please follow their advice wherever possible.

You have exclusive access to our Party Studio (Studio 1) for the duration of your booking, although the reception area will be open to the public and Studio 2 is available for customer bookings.

The party photographer is female, and the sound engineer is male.

We specialise in tailoring each party to the exact age range of your group. We will ensure that the Pop Star Party won’t be too childish for older groups or too technical or advanced for the younger ones.

Yes, we provide Pop Star Parties for all age groups, and you can also have a group comprising of different ages if you like. Parties make great birthday presents, hen & stag parties.

No, not at all, these are either fun recording sessions aimed at all abilities and ages or professional sessions. You decide which. As long as you choose a song that you will enjoy singing, the vocals can be as fun or as crazy as you like. Some sessions for older groups can be more serious if you desire, and this sometimes happens when you hear how good you all sound.

Everyone in the group receives a disk. If participating in the Taster Pop Star Party, you will receive a CD on the day of the party to take home. If participating in the Ultimate Pop Star Party, your DVD will be ready a few days after the party. You can order additional copies at the time of booking or even after the party; these make great gifts for families and friends. Price for extra disks is £4.99 per disc.

Yes, of course, you can add extra time before the party to record some solo songs before your party guests arrive or add extra time to the duration of your party to sing more songs and have us spend additional time mixing or adjusting your vocals too. Extra time is charged at £30 per hour and must be pre-booked.

Yes, we can record spoken word, poems, podcasts, audio books, acapella or any type of vocals. We can also record musicians, instruments, DJs and other types of performances. We also offer full location recording services for choirs, schools and youth and community projects, one-off events or workshops. Feel free to call us to chat about your requirements.

Yes, we have full public liability insurance.

Yes, we hold a full current advanced DBS check on all our staff members.

No, not if they don’t want to. They can all sing together, in small groups or solo, it’s up to them, as long as they have fun.

You’re more than welcome – just please inform us of booking to prevent any confusion.

Yes, you can, however if you want to sell your recording of someone else’s song, you will need to seek permission from the songwriter/publisher and pay a small royalties fee to the MCPS.

You can park directly in front of our building. Entrance is to the rear.

You only need to bring yourself, but you can also bring costumes/change of clothes, props, your own music & refreshments.

We would kindly request that only 1 or 2 adults be present for the experience as too many grown-ups can distract or inhibit the session. Party Pop Star staff are the entertainers for this event. The organiser of the party is responsible for the well-being of all the children attending; therefore we do ask that one adult (over 18) be on hand in the party room at all times.

Please ensure that everyone, including the host family, arrives promptly at the scheduled party time – PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY We have a lot of technical equipment to prepare for your party – due to health and safety, no public are allowed on the studio premises before the party start time. Please advise your party guests/parents if they arrive early to wait out front until the start time.

Don’t worry there is no pressure, and it’s all about having fun. We will work with you, and you can re-record any parts if necessary. Our audio engineer will use all the best takes you have recorded to put together for your finished song.

Each package is for one song apart from the solo singing package where you can use the time to record up to two songs.

Yes – once we have received your deposit payment we will post the required amount of invites to you (or you can collect from the studio). The VIP Invitation can be personalised for your guests. Each invite needs to be signed by the guest’s parent/guardian and returned to us on the day of the party.

No – photographs are included in the price of the party. You will receive between 15 – 20 high-quality photographs at the end of your party. The photographs are given to you on a disk or emailed to you. Please note we cannot print out the photographs at the studio. Like our mixing work, our photography standards are very high, and you can use our work for press and PR campaigns should you wish to. If you would like a separate disk of all the unedited photographs from the photoshoot, we can do this for an additional £20.00

On average, we take about 100 pictures per shoot, but we only edit the best-looking shots. We aim to finish between 15 and 20 high-quality edits, which are given to you on a disk or emailed to you. Please note we cannot print out the photographs at the studio.

Yes, by all means. We adapt each party to suit the needs of the participants.

We do not provide food, but you are very welcome to bring snacks/nibbles for your party guests, we have a small kitchen you can use. Please ensure drinks are in cartons only, please. You are also welcome to order in takeaway food, and we are a 5 minute’s drive from McDonalds, Dominos and KFC.

Yes, of course, we have a small kitchen you can use. Please bring your own plates and napkins if you require them.

Big Jam Studios can provide a selection of accessories for the guests to use during the party. Wigs, glasses and silly props look great for the party photo shoot and music video! The guests may come in fancy dress to the party if they wish but it is optional.

You can choose any song or style of music that you like, and it doesn’t even have to be Pop. As well as all the current commercial pop tracks, we regularly record songs from Musicals or Children’s Movies. You can also record your own original songs (you may require additional time for original material.)

We have a vast library of professional backing tracks, you can check on iTunes, Amazon mp3 or YouTube and if your song is available as a backing track, instrumental or karaoke version, then we can obtain this for your party.
